As a long-time resident of Delavan, Adam Johnson was happy to join Clair Law as a new Associate in the summer of 2016. Attorney Johnson focuses his practice on civil litigation, corporate law, real estate and estate planning. He also served as a Guardian ad Litem for Walworth County, providing representation for minor children and the elderly in the courtroom.
Attorney Johnson received a Bachelor of Arts, triple majoring in Legal Studies, Political Science, and Sociology, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2007. He graduated from Marquette University Law School in 2011 with his Juris Doctor. He has been admitted to practice law in the State of Wisconsin, and both the Eastern and Western Districts.
Attorney Johnson’s past legal background is highly focused around his experience in the courtroom, having successfully tried both jury and bench trials in multiple areas of the law. He initially gained his comfort for litigation while interning at the Waukesha County Courthouse in the District Attorney’s Office, which was then enriched with an internship with a Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice. Upon graduating law school, Attorney Johnson took a job at Rockwell Automation in Milwaukee as an in-house law clerk, working on civil and contract law. He then returned to Walworth County where he transitioned into private practice at a small firm in Delavan doing criminal defense work, family law, and bankruptcy, prior to joining Clair Law.
