Attorney J. Edward Clair (Retired)
J. Edward (Ed) Clair is the founding partner of Clair Law, and worked extensively in all areas of real estate law, corporate law, probate law and estate planning. Attorney Clair had over 60 years of experience in the legal profession. In 2018, Ed Clair retired from the active practice of law.
Attorney Clair is a graduate of Chicago’s DePaul University (J.D. 1961) and the University of Notre Dame (B.S. 1958). He has been admitted to practice law in Wisconsin and Illinois and before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
A significant amount of his practice was counseling clients on structuring estates and negotiating contracts, including general and corporate agreements.
Attorney Clair was one of the founding directors of Community Bank Delavan n/k/a Town Bank. He is active in the greater southeastern Wisconsin area and is currently serving as a board member for Dalco Metals, Inc. (Director and Secretary).
He was an active member of the American Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association and State Bar of Wisconsin. He is a past president of the Walworth County Bar Association.
